If I told you that 4 years ago I was burning rice in a dorm room kitchen would you believe me?
I'm Tati. I'm a home cooking enthusiast by night and a risk analyst by day in New York City (by way of Atlanta). Now that we’ve got that out of the way…I spend my free time cooking, working out, traveling, and with good friends and family. My perfect day would include a sunrise yoga session, an hour at the coffee shop, a walk through the farmers market, a trip to the beach or the lake, and an evening spent in the kitchen cooking for friends.
My cooking journey started with burning rice in a dorm room, and slowly progressed to reading cookbooks, traveling and gathering inspiration, and then cooking in my first apartment kitchen. I love the idea of helping yourself with real, tasty, internationally-inspired, and mindful food. I don’t think impressive has to mean expensive and I don’t think healthy means not enjoying what you’re eating. If you know you love food but you’re lacking the motivation or inspiration to make yourself and your loved ones a wonderful home-cooked meal, you're in the right place. My recipes are created with health, budget, and ease in mind.
When I first started my blog in college, I used it as an outlet and a portfolio to talk about my career journey and travels, and it’s now evolved into a place where I share my beloved food experiments. You’ll find some personal stories intertwined in my recipes because this isn’t a regular food blog, it’s my baby! Right now I am so inspired by non-traditional chefs like Tia Mowry, Chrissy Teigen, and Ayesha Curry (who all have amazing cookbooks, btw)! I love the entire process from concept to kitchen table. If there’s something you want to see on the blog or you have questions, you can always shoot me a line.
