HotChocolate I come from a family of snackers and sippers; if there's a family event or a holiday we always make sure to have something to munch on and something to sip on all day long (this is mostly so we all keep out of Nana's kitchen). As usual, we spent Thanksgiving at the lake, which always serves as a great scenic backdrop for the holiday season. Yesterday we had what I like to call "hot chocolate on tap". It stayed consistent all day and was delicious until the last drop (trust me, I had that thing upside down trying to get it all out). This drink was rich, thick, chocolatey, spicy, and sweet! I think I had 5 cups. I know I did. Peep the recipe below:

Best Hot Chocolate on Tap:

  • 1/3 parts evaporated milk
  • 1/3 parts half and half
  • 1/3 parts milk of your choice (thicker = richer)
  • a pinch of corn starch for thickness
  • cocoa powder to taste
  • Mexican chocolate sugar to taste
  • marshmallow fluff for topping
  • a DROP of vanilla extract
  • cinnamon to taste
  • cinnamon sticks for decoration!

Mix together the wet ingredients at high heat. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, then vigorously whisk them into the milk mixture. Serve them with a dollop of marshmallow fluff and a cinnamon stick!

No true measurements necessary, everything is to taste and is dependent upon how thick, how rich, or how spicy you'd like it to be!
